The author, smiling, with the Sandia mountains in the background.

Tony Forbes was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He earned a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College, and now works as a technical writer and editor for a small software company, which has enabled him to travel to such enticing destinations as Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Cleveland. He lives in Albuquerque with his exceptional wife, and a collection of lovely pets who do not, generally, care to be in the same room as one another. He is an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and in his spare time, he keeps up a number of creative projects, including writing novels that no one has, of yet, seen fit to publish. He is also currently working on a board game.

You can find him on Mastodon, most often fretting about the general state of the aforementioned Blue Jays or engaging in Star Trek-related discourse, or on Instagram, if pictures of cute animals are more your speed. Like many young (or young-adjacent) professional types, he also maintains a linkedin.

Despite how it appears here, he does own more than one shirt.
